How can I join the Fort Brooke Golfers Club?
Get a current member to sponsor you. Play in at least eight (8) club/league events as a guest - within two consecutive seasons - while establishing your handicap. Don't be a dick. Pass a Board of Directors vote. Pass a league-wide vote.
What are the membership playing requirements?
Each member must participate in at least six (6) Club events in a rolling two-season period, returning those scores for handicap purposes. If a member does not meet this requirement, their status will automatically be suspended.
How do I become a Director?
Meet the criteria outlined in the By-Laws. Wait until the biennial Board elections. Get elected by the current membership. Spend the next two years trying to improve the Club.
How might I get removed from the Club?
You'll get booted for failing to follow Club rules. Or doing something that results in multiple complaints to the Board. Eventually, Club leadership will get tired of the headache and vote on your removal.
How can we overthrow the Chairman of the Board?
Elect Directors who agree the Chairman has to go. They can then vote him/her out. It's not easy, but it's possible.
