Going Low - 2017 Edition
Hot off the press from Faz, below are last season's low rounds, as well as an update of your career best performances. Seems World Woods (Rolling Oaks) and Reunion (Palmer) were big hits in Summer 2017. Also worth noting that Faz and Geoff's career low rounds were 5 years ago. Anyway... enjoy!

Good stuff! Interesting to see that out of everyone's best round - only 11 out of 20 times were people able to claim a 1st place victory in that day's event.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for next season to tell someone who's playing well that they still only have a 55% chance of winning that day.
I was thinking about that too, pretty crazy. Poor Darren...his career best round led to a 6th place finish, haha.

ReplyDeleteIt's funny to see people's best rounds not even win them a tournament. How hard would it be to see what the worst winning scores were. I'd assume those came on Hangover rounds...

Gorecki - Early Bird Summer 2012 - Bloomingdale - 106 gross
Gorecki - DPT Champ Summer 2012 - TPC Tampa Bay - 101 gross
Darren - DPT Open Spring 2013 - Southern Hills - 101 gross
Geoff - Classic Spring 2014 - Heritage Harbor - 101 gross
And the four worst NET scores (regardless of relation to par):
Gorecki - Early Bird Summer 2012 - Bloomingdale - 76 net
Geoff, Faz, Chandler - Classic Spring 2014 - Heritage Harbor - 76 net
Dan - Kickoff Spring 2013 - The Claw - 75 net
Chandler - Jamaican Spring 2013 - Plantation Palms - 74 net
So it's really more a factor of the course. All of those are difficult tricked-up layouts with the exception of Southern Hills... which can kill the field any given weekend.
I can easily get to the net winning scores of every event and Chandler got all of those right. I’ll assume his gross scores are correct because that’s harder for me to get to. There have only been three other events won by a net score above par and they were all +1. Gorecki in the Summer ‘12 DPT Championship at TPC Tampa Bay, Tall Mike in the Spring ‘16 Skins Game at Heritage Harbor, and Geoff in the Spring ‘16 Jamaican Open at Pebble Creek.
