Scramble Outing - Sunday, December 9th

THIS Sunday... Crescent Oaks... 9am start.

Buy in is $20 per person. Winning team will get $120 each, and 2nd place gets $40 each.

Format is a "roaming scramble," same thing we did last year at Scepter. You start in the middle tees, if your team makes a NET birdie or better, you move back ONE tee box. If you make a NET bogey or worse, move forward one tee box. There are only three tee boxes in play for each gender.

Men:
Black
Blue - start here (128 slope)
White

Katie:
White
Red - start here (121 slope, -1 for rating difference)
Orange

The calculation will be based off the starting tees, with the LOWEST handicapped golfer (A) getting a 35% allowance, and the HIGHER handicapped golfer (B) getting 15% allowance (per USGA recommendation).

To make this easy on everyone, below is a list of everyone's FULL, A and B handicaps.

Dave - 10 / 3.5 / NA
Faz - 11 / 3.85 / 1.65
Chandler - 12 / 4.2 / 1.8
Gary - 13 / 4.55 / 1.95
Robbie - 13 / 4.55 / 1.95
Buchert - 13 / 4.55 / 1.95
MikeHo - 14 / 4.9 / 2.1
Reid - 15 / 5.25 / 2.25
John - 16 / 5.6 / 2.4
Darren - 17 / 5.95 / 2.55
Tall Mike - 18 / 6.3 / 2.7
Adam - 21 / 7.35 / 3.15
Kaite - 21 / 7.35 / 3.15
Ben - 23 / 8.05 / 3.45
Geoff - 25 / 8.75 / 3.75
Gorecki - 31 / NA / 4.65

When you get your partner, figure out who's A, who's B, add the scores and then round. So if Robbie is pared with Darren... Robbie is A (4.55), Darren is B (2.55)... 4.55 + 2.55 = 7.1 rounded to 7. They get one stroke on the 7 hardest rated holes.

See you on Friday, 7pm at Red Dog. Wear your letter jacket if you have one. Also... keep watching the forecast. Sunday is currently like 70% chance of thunderstorms all day.

  2. Why do Buchert and Gary have partial Dues payments made? Did the put it on lay-a-way? What other financing options are available?

  3. Buchert has been pre-paying for awhile. He had a balance roll over.

    Gary short paid.

    Katie can’t read good.

Both of them are still in the red, so I wouldn’t call it financing.

  6. Perhaps we just play a golden tee tournament at the Dog?

  7. Very possible. Already called the course to tell them we might have to call it a washout. Either way, bar tonight, we will do the draft and go through the motions. And if we can discuss calling it tomorrow if forecast doesn’t improve, or waiting until 630am Sunday.

  8. Katie (my Katie) said that I only want to play in the league because of how short the people are...
And I usually, not you Webermeier, compare myself to other golfers by height.

  10. Yeah, what about that guy...that guy doesn't get to play as much golf as he use to so he would like to play rain or shine. I'd also like to see Big John bust out the suit. If this is a rain out, I'm going to play Countryway and anyone is welcome to join me.
