We're back this Sunday (Feb 26th) at noon at The Groves.
We haven't been out there since Spring 2021. It's probably the best par-3 course in our ROTA, so hopefully it's still in good shape.
In our two year absence, it seems they've changed the 18th hole to a par 5. It's still a stupid hole — and par is just a socially constructed number — but that does change a lot in terms of possible pitchers owed and handicaps.
It's the right move for the course, and you should adjust your strategy accordingly.
Currently we are FULL (20 players) with Danny unable to join the field due to his total disregard of the RSVP system.
Pairings are randomized and published. See you Sunday.
I didn’t wanna play anyway.
ReplyDelete… but let me know when someone drops.
If anyone is playing a practice round let me know
ReplyDeleteTotally blanking, does the groves have a range?
ReplyDeleteNo
ReplyDeleteWait… yes. They have a water range.
ReplyDeleteCould be a thing to add to the courses tab. For the record, I did look there first to make sure you didn’t already have that info available.
ReplyDeleteLittle known — maybe forgotten — fact... the Courses tab is driven by a courses database/sheet that I used to update. It became too much of a burden so I don't fully update everything anymore. Just rounds that drive the median-net-to-par numbers (for difficulty rankings) and course records.
ReplyDeleteCheck out Southern Hills below... which shows they have a "free" range. Look at those prices we've paid per month!! Those are accurate and up to date.

You are all welcome!...lol...I miss playing it but not paying for it.
